Catherine P. Slade

Ms. Slade is a Senior Associate in Morgan Healthcare Consulting, LLC . With nearly 35 years of health care experience (debuting as an inner city emergency room clerk on the graveyard shift in 1972) Ms. Slade has had the pleasure of working in a wide variety of health care administration and public health and policy development positions both as a health care executive and as a consultant to health care entities, systems and providers, to other health care consultants and to governmental entities regulating and legislating health policy and health care economic development. Because of this broad experience she has effectively advised clients on many challenging strategic issues including making health care work as a specific business, industry and economic development driver and most important making health care serve as a means for social betterment. Ms. Slade is primarily sought after as a consultant for her unique quantitative and qualitative research approaches to business strategic planning, addressing health economics and addressing fundamental issues challenging the industry. She has guided and facilitated board retreats, prepared Certificate of Need applications (with a 100% approval rate), guided the development of health care regulatory and statute changes, prepared feasibility studies that analyzed the demand for specific health care services and advised clients on the best approaches to address disparities in health and meeting the needs of underserved populations including the disabled, economically disadvantaged and homeless.

Ms. Slade is currently a doctoral candidate, completing her dissertation in the joint program in Public Administration and Urban Studies at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University and at the School of Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is an admitted research geek with a passion for developing unique research methods and approaches such as spatial analysis and multi-level contextual analysis of public data to address pressing system and industry issues. She teaches undergraduate statistics and research methods courses at Georgia State University as adjunct faculty and she has numerous scholarly publications and peer reviewed conference presentations concerning health care, sociology and life sciences issues. She holds a Masters of Arts in Sociology from Emory University in Atlanta.

Ms. Slade previously served as the President, CEO and principal consultant of Slade Partners Consulting, LLC, a strategic and business planning consulting firm that served a broad range of public and private sector clients in the social service, life science and health care industries. Ms. Slade resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, with her husband George and a steady stream of children, grandchildren, other family members and friends who share their love of a temperate climate, biking, running in charity road races, golf and great seafood.
